letstalkGood day!

Sometimes, social networking sites could do some damage to the lives of people. Sometimes it opens a new door. While Sometimes it brings back the memories of lost generations. Let’s take an example of a funny advertisement that really makes Class A LOL.

7

Yeah. That’s Febryl, Jesamie, Sharellyn, Bernil and Harris. Its supposed to be an ad for the IQ Test applications. Test your IQ. But its a little funny, Sha is Stupid and Bernil is an Idiot. LOL.

Moving on.

Well, as if they are. Its a very interesting picture that Mavis had posted on her album all about the UIC Life. But one picture is a very interesting topic starter. Want to know the pic? OK, you got me.

6Dont bother Jopal at the right side. Its Hyzel and Didi that is making a very interesting topic starter. Do you miss the time when the two of them were like this? I sure am. And that particular pic had comments coming in like an atomic bomb, and guess what? Hyzel and Didi are both posting comments.

What is more interesting is small specs of comments that only people with fast eyes and hands that clicks Print Screen. Its a very cheezy moment for both of them. Wanna see it? Click the Thumbnails. Its a spot the difference game, and whatever they will delete, it will still get back to the original thing.

There’s one more thing before I wrap up this Post. Let’s hope for a possibility for the return of the comeback, you know what I mean. Hmmm. Probably, you might just want to read this. I totally don’t approve of Brylle’s Analogy, but I like it.

Epic of Assembly Alpha

// July 4th, 2009 // 53 Comments » // Fun Stuff, Gossips

assembly‘Epic of Assembly Alpha’ is a fantasy story loosely based on the lives of the Class A students. It’s a medieval type story containing several characters, named after the Class A students and mentors; creatures, including dragons and other magical creatures; and magic. The story revolves around Lady Febryl of Lore and King Exander the great. It is written by Jopal Dumanig, and is still under progress, but it may be released sooner, so stay tuned.

Here is a plot of the epic:

The Indicum Technologia Empire laid in ruins during the aftermath of the final battle and the grand commencement. The Assembly Alpha, group of warriors trained for the toughest of battles, was deemed responsible for the chaos brought upon the empire and the Kingdom Immaculada. Only one person knew the real story, Duke Exander. He hid a sanctified object containing the history of the assembly, in the depths of a well, located at the ‘ruins of alph’, wishing that one day someone would unravel the past and clear the Assembly’s name.

Lady Febryl of Lore, an Assembly Alpha, returned years after she left the empire. Duke Exander, now King, led Febryl to the ruins and showed her the path to redemption and redeem the Assembly’s name. Only to find out the mysteries surrounding the empire’s past.

The Golden Age – under the leadership of Chancellor Roy, the age of excellence – King Raphael, the age of intensity – Queen April and the age of torment – King Joseph, pursued later by, Queen Jasmin. All is not well during those times, rumors grew of a shadow from the east, whisper of a nameless fear, the dark sorcerer. Under the rule of the dark sorcerer, the assembly struggled to create their own identity, their own force, their own alliance. But it’s not long before they suspect the worse – that the very battle they would face would change the history of the empire and will put the name of the Assembly at stake.

I have written at about 10 pages as per date. Only a few people have read the draft and returned positive reviews. Hope you’ll like it, I’ll probably make another page for this. Stay tuned.

Great news for us UICians and for the ITE Program!

The ITE Program have submitted two entries for this year’s challenge. Just this June 26, the JEDI team has announced the Final 14 or shall we say the Finalists for Philippine Challenge. The winner here will be sent to Singapore to compete for the Finals from Champions of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The good thing here is that the two teams from UIC-ITE Program have made it to the Final 14 and they will compete this July 14 at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) in Quiezon City and meet the other finalists from prestigious universities from all over Philippines. I [Sir Barrios] will be with them in Manila and serve as teams’  adviser. And we’re proud that we’re the only teams from Mindanao!

The two UIC-ITE Teams are the following:

Team 1: Team Sugo ni Bro!

Application: Fleet Management System using Zkoss Framework

Members: Karlo Jesus Sobiaco, Patrick John Yap, & Abzkan Abdul – IT 4A

Team 2: Team RoJoSe

Application: An AJAX-based Multi Website Management System Using XML-RPC

Members: Ronald Borla, Sean Lester Benitez, & Joseph Rey Sator – IT 4A

These two teams are really complete in package, from technical skills to communication skills. But constant practice will make them more competitive in one way or another. Good luck and God bless our competition.

Just an update: I [Sir Barrios] had a wonderful talk with the JEDI Philippines Coordinator this morning and she told me that I should not be worrying the expenses because the fares and accommodations will be taking cared of by the Sun Microsystems.

I [Sir Barrios] know that the learning experiences here for both teams would mean that our UIC-ITE Program education is not at par with the education from the prestigious universities in the country. This is a very good start as well to the program for its drive in academic excellence and mission of quality IT education in the country.

Congratulations again! Aim high always!

One more thing. Enrolment for Upper Classmen will start June 1, 2009. But with due recognition, the ITE program will accept enrolment before June 1, but not unless you have finished your OJT. During enrolment, senior’s are expected to bring your senior’s uniform and wear it for our Academic Coordinator to see. Incomplete Uniform is a No-no, so, we are expected to wear Blazers and Stocking for the girls.
